I am an accomplished leader, who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Managers and educated to post graduate level. I am passionate about system change within homelessness and housing systems and have the drive to be able to influence change in these areas of delivery. I have a proven track record in mobilising, operationalising and overseeing quality and best practice within homelessness and housing provision, both operationally and strategically. Within my current role I am responsible for championing and creating understanding of homelessness solutions such as Housing First across a regional area. I have strong negotiation and communication skills, and I am and have been involved with the campaign for housing first to be recognised as one of the solutions to homelessness, on a national basis in the UK. I have a strong skillset in stakeholder inclusion and building partnerships and I have developed many long term relationships within the homelessness and housing sector, locally, nationally and internationally. I have a proven track record of troubleshooting with underperforming services and I have always been determined to ensure that they perform successfully and make a difference to the people that need them. I have a persistent, can do attitude. I am dedicated to coaching new managers and am a Mentor for the Housing Diversity Network in my own time. I have worked at a grassroots level, delivering and developing services for vulnerable people for the last 25 years, and am passionate about changing systems to reflect the needs of society.
