Join us for an upcoming webinar hosted by our associate partner, Housing First Poland Foundation, featuring a conversation between two leading voices in the effort to end homelessness in Europe.
Date: 20 May 2025
Time: 15:00–16:30 CEST
Juha Kahila, Housing First advocate at Y-Säätiö (The Y-Foundation) in Finland, will join Julia Wygnańska, President of Housing First Poland Foundation, for an in-depth discussion about what it takes to move from managing homelessness to ending it, particularly within the Polish context.
Drawing from Finland’s internationally recognised success in reducing homelessness, Juha will offer insights into the Housing First model, the policy and system-level changes that made it effective, and what ongoing efforts look like once homelessness has been significantly reduced. The session will also examine how these experiences might be translated to other national and local contexts.
Why attend?
- Understand the core principles that helped Finland achieve meaningful reductions in homelessness
- Learn about key milestones and strategic decisions that drove long-term change
- Explore what systems prioritise once the goal of ending homelessness is reached
