Festival of the New European Bauhaus 2026
The third edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival took place in Brussels from 9 to 13 June 2026. Organised by the European Commission, the event explored how democratic engagement can drive more inclusive and sustainable communities.
The Festival was structured around four main pillars. One of them was the Fair, showcasing projects, prototypes, and initiatives that reflect the core values of the New European Bauhaus.
The Housing First Europe Hub had the pleasure of participating as an exhibitor. As part of the Fair, we were proud to showcase our work and place Housing First and the fight against homelessness at the heart of discussions on the future of social inclusion and community-building, alongside many other innovative projects.
One of the highlights of the Festival was welcoming European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, to our stand. We discussed the work of the Housing First Europe Hub, our collaboration within FEANTSA, our Train the Trainer programme, and opportunities for future cooperation. It was encouraging to see Housing First and homelessness prevention featured within broader European discussions on housing and inclusive communities.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, participated in our interactive activity, and engaged in conversations with us. The Festival provided a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of Housing First, strengthen connections, and continue advocating for housing as the foundation for social inclusion.
