The Housing First Europe Hub, together with our French partners, Métropole de Lyon, co-hosted a three-day Partnership Event in Lyon from 19–21 November 2025, bringing together practitioners, policy-makers and service providers committed to strengthening Housing First systems across Europe.
The event mainly took place at L’Autre Soie, a landmark social housing, culture and community project that reflects a strong commitment to inclusive and integrated Housing First solutions.
Over the course of the three days, participants exchanged practices, explored innovative local initiatives and strengthened collaboration between local, regional and national stakeholders working to advance Housing First approaches across Europe.
The programme included a series of site visits, offering participants first-hand insight into Housing First in practice, including:
- Housing First training at post-secondary level – Diplôme Universitaire
- Maison de la Veille Sociale
- Fondation ARALIS
- La Base (Le MAS)
- Zone Libre (Alynea – Samu Social 69)
The Partners’ Meeting featured expert sessions focused on:
- Systems approaches to Housing First and housing partnerships
- EU-level opportunities for advocacy, research and strategic planning towards 2026, including a special contribution from Freek Spinnewijn
- The role of local and regional authorities in designing and delivering integrated Housing First systems
Through interactive workshops and collaborative discussions, participants deepened their learning, shared experiences and reinforced partnerships across Europe.
