Tim is a Professor in the School of Psychology and Senior Researcher at the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services at the University of Ottawa. Over the course of his career, Tim has collaborated on research projects with community organizations and government, contributing to the development of effective social programs and policies. He was a Member of the National Research Team of the At Home / Chez Soi Demonstration Project of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Ontario Housing First Regional Network, Community of Interest. In 2013, he received the Contribution to Evaluation in Canada award from the Canadian Evaluation Society. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association and the Society for Community Research and Action (Division 27 of the American Psychological Association).
Freek Spinnewijn – Director, FEANTSA
Freek Spinnewijn is the Director of FEANTSA, a European coalition working towards ending homelessness in Europe. FEANTSA has more than 100 members from across 30 European countries. Freek studied Medieval History and European Law and Policy at the University of Leuven (BE). After some short work placements at the UN in Geneva and the EU in Brussels, he became director of EPSO, a European network of organisations representing seniors. In 2001, Freek took up his current position as director of FEANTSA. Freek sits on the board of several European organisations such as the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN), Social Services Europe, and the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) of which he is currently President.
Aurélie Tinland – Principal investigator – research on psychiatric advance directives at Aix-Marseille Université
Aurélie Tinland is a psychiatrist in Marseille in a mobile precarious health team. She has worked extensively on public health and is a researcher at the University of Aix-Marseille.
She participates in various innovative and alternative programs for people suffering from mental disorders: « Un chez soi d’abord » (access to housing and home support for homeless people), IPS program (job coaching for professional integration in ordinary environment). And also the COFOR project (Recovery College) and experimentation with advance directives in psychiatry.
